There’s Always Money in the Banana Stand

There’s Always Money in the Banana Stand - This Arrested Development reference has a few surprises! The biggest is using a peated Scotch as the primary spirit. The other is using a banana leaf to wrap the drink with. Zac Overman from Seattle created this dandy of a drink while at L’Orsin. It is featured in The Minimalist Tiki book.
In a blender cup of cracked ice add:

  • 1oz Fresh Lemon Juice

  • .5oz Cinnamon Syrup

  • .75oz Banane du Bresil

  • .125oz St Elizabeth’s Allspice Dram

  • .25oz Yellow Chartreuse

  • 1.5oz Aberlour 12 Year old Speyside Scotch Whisky

  • Line a cut out banana leaf inside a tall Collins Glass, fill with crushed ice

  • Blend for 10 seconds with your Waring speed blender and strain into your Collins Glass.

  • Garnish with grated cinnamon and a cinnamon stick and 2 pineapple frond. Enjoy!
