Suffering Bastard

Suffering Bastard - created at the Shepheard Hotel in Cairo in 1942 by legendary bartender Joe Scialom, this was the drink that fortified Montgomery‘s boys during the second world war as they pushed back against Rommel in North Africa.
In a Collins Glass of crushed ice add the 4 oz of Fevertree Ginger Beer, Then add the remaining ingredients into a cocktail shaker of crushed ice as follows:
.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
.25 oz Demerara Syrup
1 oz Malfy Con Arancia - Blood Orange Gin
1 oz Christian Brothers Brandy
2 Dashes of Angostura Bitters
Shake and strain into glass.
Garnish with Mint Sprig. Enjoy!
FYI, the guy with blurry eyes is a vintage 1950 Whiskey decanter... looks like the guy is truly suffering a bad hangover!
