Le Punch de Lafayette - This variation of the Martha Washington Punch is in celebration of Bastille Day. Viva la France!! International Grand Marnier Day is today as well. Grand Marnier and I go WAAAAAAAY back! Was my drink of choice for more than a few years. Here we have partnered it up with two incredible rums; Appleton Estate 12 year old Rare Cask, Flor de Cana 7 Year Gran Reserva, and a homemade Cherry infused overproof rum using Wray & Nephew Overproof Rum. à votre santé!
In a shaker cup of ice add:
.1 oz Grand Marnier
2 oz Appleton 12 year old Rare cask Rum
1 oz Flor de Cana 7 year old Gran Reserva Rum
1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
1 oz Fresh Orange Juice
1 oz Simple Syrup
1 oz Club Soda
Shake once and pour into a fancy low coupe of your choosing.
Float 1 oz of Homemade Cherry infused Wray & Nephew Overproof Rum
Garnish with an Orange Slice and Fresh Rainier Cherry. Enjoy! Sante’!
