Cosa Nostra #2 - This little ditty by Dane Barca of Smuggler’s Cove fame is “Polite yet deadly” per Dane. Not to be confused with the original Cosa Nostra Cocktail created at Caffè Propaganda near the Colosseum in Rome, Italy. Its creator, Patrick Pistolesi, one of the pioneers in Rome’s contemporary cocktail scene, is an Irish Italian barman with a flair for American and Italian classics.
This drink is a perfect bridge from winter to spring. Enjoy!
In your favorite footed pilsner or fancy stemware add all the ingredients except the Ginger Ale:
.75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
1.5 oz Amaro Averna
1 oz Plantation Fiji Rum
1 Dash Angostura Aromatic Bitters
Fill glass with crushed ice and top with:
2 OZ Q Grapefruit Soda
Garnish with Lemon Curl and 2 Toschi Cherries!
